Cliff Jones 'The Life Class' abstract art Triple plate etching on paperCliff Jones is a highly accomplished printmaker. His work trades in the kind of effortlessness that can only be wrought by a master. Life Class is a twist on life drawing an artistic convention born of sketching a life model in a studio. Rather than a study of anatomy however, this work is surreal. It pictures a molten mass of bodies, faces and torsos twisting together in a dreamlike enmeshment. Jones is represented in multiple public collections
