A very elegant and versatile table
but these are minor and do not detract from from the beauty of the piece
19th Century
George IV Silver Stilton Scoop Scrolling Pediment to embelish a garden gateEveryone needs one!! No dining tablw is complete without a silver stilton scoop! and this superb George IV example certainly fits the bill. It has a push off mechanism, is hallmarked Birmingham 1824 and is possibly by John Thornton. The condition is good, there is a minor crack to the bone handle, this is not detrimental. A luxury item, but a very useful one that would make a special present for a discerning friend or perhaps for you. Date: 1824
