Description

The M1941/M1943 field jackets worn by most troops were shorter and more practical than the M1938 (they allowed the wearer to be more mobile)

During World War II the phone was preferred to the radio and the EE-8 was much more reliable than the backpack mounted Walkie-Talkie (SCR-300) or the Handy-Talkie (SCR-536)

They participated in some of the major battles of the war receiving their baptism of fire at Fredericksburg

Freemen (African- Americans)
