Gathering of the Tall Ones 80x180cm Oil On Canvas buffalo chasing seagulls and doing somersaultsOstriches gather beneath a luminous sky, their long necks rising like bright notes across the canvas. Their bodies unfold in sweeping colour violet, blue, green, red, ochre, and white giving the scene a sense of rhythm, conversation, and movement. Gathering of the Tall Ones captures the lively character of the flock: alert, curious, and full of presence. It is a painting about togetherness, open space, and the unusual grace of these remarkable birds.
