Anémones et Tanagra (1920) Size:70 x 50cm (20 x 28in) In this workFlix Vallotton, a master of the post impressionists, presents us with "Anmones et Tanagra", a still life that delights both the eyes and the mind. In this work from 1920, Vallotton combines the delicate beauty of anemones with the classic elegance of a Tanagra figurine. The anemones, in their bright palette of colors, almost seem to jump out of the canvas, while the Tanagra figurine, a nod to ancient Greek art, exudes a calm, timeless presence.
